This painting is from my Curiosity Series, and amazingly I managed to catch most of it on video for you! All the paintings in this series began with collage on cradled timber panels and were moved forward with plenty of paint and drawing media.
What you can't see from the video is how I set the charcoal and graphite lines with airbrush medium and a soft brush. I also add a layer of either matte or gloss gel here and there to create an isolation coat between applications of paint and collage.
