I was feeling like a quick dabble in something other than greens today. I also dug out my paint pens for some of the details. I'm not sure if I really get along with them, but these sketches are a great place to try them out. Are you a fan of paint pens? Maybe I just need more practice with them.
I went back to my pile of gelli prints for some of the collage elements and came across some tissue papers left over from my monoprinting sessions.
I reverted back to my starter pieces for this one as I have plenty lying around the studio!
These sketches are really all about 'practice'.
Looking for lines and shapes, balancing detailed areas with space and testing colour combinations.
